Founder Story
A life dedicated to healing.
Her path to this work began with a lifelong fascination with human resilience. Originally trained as a physician, Juliana later pursued advanced training in psychotherapy and community mental health, recognizing that true healing requires more than medical treatment alone. It requires connection, purpose, belonging, and hope.
Over the course of her career, Juliana has worked with individuals facing some of life’s greatest challenges, including trauma, homelessness, addiction, severe mental illness, family disruption, and poverty. Through those experiences, she developed a deep conviction that every person possesses the capacity for growth when provided with compassion, dignity, and meaningful support.
The Gold Standard Philosophy
People are not defined by their worst moments.
Juliana is the creator of The Gold Standard Method™, an approach that integrates cognitive restructuring, attachment-informed care, depth psychology, and strengths-based interventions.
This philosophy guides both her clinical work and the mission of Gold Standard Community Services.
The Gold Standard Method™
“People are not defined by their worst moments. They are defined by their capacity to grow beyond them.”
Building Systems of Hope
Healing requires more than treatment alone.
While providing psychotherapy, Juliana repeatedly witnessed a painful reality: many people lacked access to the practical supports necessary for recovery and long-term wellness.
Mental health struggles were often intertwined with housing instability, substance use disorders, poverty, family stress, social isolation, and limited access to community resources. These challenges could not be solved through therapy alone.
To address this gap, Juliana founded The Gold Standard Community Services, Inc. with a vision of creating community-based pathways to healing that extend beyond traditional treatment models.
